Oooo, I'd want to do a Evo conversion, but that looks too nice to mess up.

I was just talking about the Cosworth, but either way the want is strong with it.

But think of the fun to be had. And I would be fine with it as is anyway because its in such great shape and such a cool car

I'm thinking of doing one but starting with a base 2.3 or 2.6. The cosworths are nice enough that I wouldn't want to ruin one with some fake bits and the base ones have enough good in them to bring out with some loving.

As much as I love the little cossies, those 2.3's aren't special enough for that kind of money to me.

I know nothing about these cars but I know they're very special and worth more than $14k.

Yeah its really hard to find a clean one. Most of them were hooned to death and not maintained well :-(

The question is, can I bring it to the US?

Nevermind, its more than 25 years old.

If you're asking legally, yes, 25 years is up for all of the 2.3's and now we're getting into 2.5 territory.

If you asking yourself the logistics of it, well I can't help you there.

They're not very expensive, especially with how little of them are still in good shape

It even comes with a parts car!!!

even if it wasn't 25 I bet you still could. After all, we had 190E's in the US, so as long as it was "federalized" it would be legal.

I'm driving a 29 year old grey market 745i that was imported back in 1986.

I paid around 3 grand for mine, in 2004. It had a 180,000 miles on it, though, but was in nice original condition. Of all the cars I've had, it's probably still my favorite.
